Search engines LOVE lists. Most search engines like Google consider the contents in a list to be very important to the content of the page. Therefore whenever possible try to include a list in our page containing your keywords. Generally I throw this list underneath my

Search engines pay close attention to descriptive attributes in HTML tags as this will tell them what the content on your page is about. Broken Anchor Texts can lower your search engine rankings so ensure you have no broken links on your website.
Make sure the links on your page are related to the content or theme of the page and website.

1. You better off getting one-way quality backlinks from sites related to yours, don’t worry about Pagerank, worry about relevancy.
2. Unless it is a relevant quality link it shouldn’t appear on any of your web pages to begin with, providing links sololy to boost your search engine rankings aren’t the proper way to build backlinks.
