Google and some of the other search engines have been using geographical targeting for a while now. If you want rankings in a particular region, you have to convince Google that your website is relevant for that region. To do that, here are some things you can do:
- ensure your website is hosted in the target country..registering the domain in that country may help too, but that may just be theory
- ensure that you have a physical address listed on your website for that country…again that might be theory
- most importantly, you need plenty of quality links from websites that are also relevant for that country
- in Google Webmaster Tools you can set you target country if you just care about rankings in one country
- getting more visitors from your targeted country.
